Sundays

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings we meet at 11am at Halstow Primary School in East Greenwich. Click here for more information and how to get there.

Our Sunday morning meetings are an important part of our church life. We worship God together as a family, seeking to be led by the Holy Spirit and encourage people to use their gifts so that everyone is encouraged. There are opportunities to pray for each other or receive prayer ministry when we gather together, and we regularly share communion.

We believe God’s word is active and speaks powerfully into our lives today and the Bible is an important part of our meetings. Each week there are groups for children and young people (Creche for 0-4, Galaxy Kids 5-10, Youth 11-16). Refreshments (tea, coffee and pastries) are available before the meeting from 10:30am. We also eat lunch together every third Sunday at the New Life building.

Monthly Sunday Evening Celebrations

New Life church is a congregation of Ichthus Christian Fellowship and on the 3rd Sunday of each month we meet together as one church for an Ichthus Celebration at the Bonhoeffer Church, Dacres Road, Forest Hill, SE23.

Ichthus Celebrations are great opportunities for Ichthus members to enjoy a rich time of fellowship, worship, teaching and ministry from other Ichthus leaders.

Come at 5pm for tea, coffee and cake before the service starts at 5.30 (end 7pm), and there is opportunity to mingle afterwards. You can come, relax, be yourself and discover relevant truths you can apply to your life where you are.

On every Sunday where there isn’t a celebration, we’ll meet at the Ichthus Prayer House for a time of prayer and worship.

Baptism

Baptisms are an exciting element in church life which we believe in passionately, and New Life regularly has Baptism services for those ready to make this commitment. Those being baptised can invite their friends and family and have the opportunity to explain why they are taking this significant step.

We run a short baptism preparation course, which outlines why baptism is important and addresses topics such as repenting of your sin, renouncing the works of the devil and making Jesus your Lord. These sessions give individuals chances to ask questions, pray through issues and be sure in their hearts that this is the right step for them.

If you are seeking to be baptised then please talk to one of the Prayer Planning team, or to a homegroup leader.
